Review content:
My husband and I went here tonight, have not been in about a year. It was not good. We have gone here in the past 12 years off and on, and had many wonderful meals here, but no more. The salad was more dressing than salad, and the dressing had changed and is was BAD. I mean really sparse salad. One cherry tomato sliced in half, and about 7 leaves of lettuce, and thats all folks!. My husbands appetizer was oysters, which several were brown and old and he did not eat. Ok. So the entree comes, and mine was the Planked fish with Mahi as the fresh catch. I used to ADORE this, at this restaurant. Tonight, the Mahi was about 1/4 of and inch thick (is that Mahi?) and it was actually more sauce than fish. (getting a pattern here?) I could actually only eat about 1/2 of my fillet, because the other half was brown and kind of tough. I had never had THAT before (many years of eating Mahi!) My other side (the first was the dressing/salad) was about 1/4 cup of blackeye peas, mostly liquid. My husband's main course was shrimp over pasta. Sparse on the shrimp, but to be fair, not terrible (per him). I am really not a picky eater. But our bill was over 60.00, and both my husband and I were still hungry after ""dinner"". I don't know what the problem was, but with money being what it is these days, we can't go here again. I know when I read these reviews I think someone has an ax to grind, but I am just trying to save you your hard earned money. We all work too hard for it, so go somewhere else. I'll be honest. There are lots of great places in St. Augustine!!!!!!!
Pros: Nice scenery in the back rooms and deck
Cons: Bad food for high price
