Review content:
I normally take my pets to Amherst Small Animal Hospital. When I took my dog to Amherst to be spayed, they gave me an estimate of $350 to $450. I refused to pay that kind of money and instead did some research online. Apparently, there a whole bunch of programs out there to help people on welfare who want to have their dog spayed for nothing but it's next to impossible to find a cheap spay program if you're not on welfare. I found this organization called Friend's of Animals and they sell a say cert for only $90! Pine Woods is one of two of the only vets that participate in the program. I took my pup for a free exam where she was looked at by a tech and her vaccine records were reviewed. At that time, they gave me an estimate of $0 for additional charges I might incur based on that exam. I went ahead and had her spayed a week later and as the estimate had stated, there were no additional charges. The total cost I paid was in fact $90. I really like the staff and I think I will be switching my dogs to this vet from now on. They are super friendly and they do not try to push additional services that are not necessary. Highly recommend!!!
