Review content:
I purchased a stereo from Stereo City in June 2010. I lost several features in my car when the radio was installed and was told for an extra $140 (the same amount I paid for my radio) they can ?fix? the lost features. Less then three months later my stereo stop working and it caused one of my front speakers to blow out. I returned to have them fix the problem, but they wouldn?t even look at my car unless I paid a $35 diagnostic fee. I took my business elsewhere and had all my speakers replaced. A month later, the radio stopped working again. After some research and getting several stereo shops to look at my car, I found out I was sold a defect radio. Stereo City tried to hustle me because I didn?t have my receipt but I showed proof from my bank. I was given the option of either paying $120 difference for a new radio that was supposedly worth $260, or pay $50 for the shipping & handling of my defect radio in exchange for the store display model! I was not happy and Juan the sale person went to the back to speak with the owner Yasser and brought the payment difference down to $90. I demand to get all the quotes in writing and left the store. I contact several stereo shops and found out that the ?$260 radio? was worth less then what I originally paid! I also contact the mfr of the radio but they couldn?t help me because I didn?t have the originally receipt (I found out later on that Stereo City do keep copy of their receipts). Moral of the story: Do not do business with Stereo City & if you do keep your receipt and make copys!
