Review content:
I had a bad experience with Dr. Solis a couple years ago. I went in for a routine colonoscopy and nearly bled to death. Dr. Solis is probably o.k. as a surgeon, but his front desk staff at the time were incompetent. They were all pretty, young girls with attitude, who didn't like being pulled away from filing nails and personal calls to wait on patients. They were very discourteous in the office. They were unprofessional over the phone and did not give me the post procedure information I needed. A week after the procedure, I started hemorrhaging badly. It was very serious, yet when I called Dr. Solis' office, the ""girls"" did not take it seriously and would not let me talk with the Dr. They acted like it was 'normal' to have a little bleeding, even though I told them I was gushing blood. I finally got a responsible adult at Dr. Solis' answering service who put me through to the Dr. and I had to have emergency surgery to stop the bleeding. It was very traumatic. I lost so much blood, it too nearly 6 months to fully recover. Pretty may make nice scenery, but competence prevents malpractice suits. If you go to Dr, Solis, be sure to get his personal contact info so you don't get trapped at the front desk in an emergency like I did. Pros: South Central Location Cons: Needs better staff
