There's far too much to say about the Pine to write on this little review...but the place is a landmark and is steeped in as much history and tradition as it is beer and Jager. For years it was one of the best hangouts in town and a must stop on a nearly daily basis. A great crowd and nearly impossible to spend more than a 20...and that'll send you home doin' the sidestep! But a few years back all the high school punks ("today" style high schoolers"...not the cool ones of years past...ya know, the ones that watch MTV and blast P-Diddy, or some sh-t) have completely ruined the place and turned it into a generic "club". The a**hole downtown crowd has officially moved to the westside....sh*tty music, fights and "wicked cool, hip dudes" fully equipped with bright white hats and all the latest A and F gear have moved in. Gone are the chill "legal" aged dudes, like myself, who just sat on the back step smokin' a "jimmy" and stopped in for a game of pinball and a few cold cans o' cheap beer. It's really sad. We all miss what the place used to be before modern times and todays youth and thier a**hole mentality ruined it. Welcome to planet MTV. If you do plan on going, do so before 9 PM and it's still pretty cool. As the eve progresses you'll instinctively know when it's time to leave.. Pros: Lots of beer Cons: Lots of liquor
