When you make an appointment for your wedding cake, don't be surprised if it's the owner who meets with you to talk about the various options. Such a nice lady - no wonder she has been so successful despite the out of the way location. As far as sampling wedding cake, I would say this bakery certainly didn't skimp on the tastings - we each had our own heaping plate of 6 kinds of cake. The owner shared the stories behind some of the wedding cake replicas on display and encouraged us to come up with our own design. Fondant has become so popular, but she will tell you herself, the buttercream tastes better! Flavors ranged from chocolate heath bar with a layer of toffee and caramel, to carrot with cream cheese frosting, to various white/yellow varieties. (delivery charges are included in the pricing)
