Review content:
We loved the doctor that we worked with (no longer with Orthopedic Surgery Associates). However, as the other reviewer talked about, I think the practice does not do it's job on behalf of the patient. We also had a surgical assistant that was used but not covered by insurance. The surgery also took place at a hospital that was out of network. We were not informed of this before surgery. We were only told that the insurance company had been notifed and that EVERYTHING was covered. This resulted in $10,000 out of pocket. Had we been correctly informed, we could have used the same surgeon and just chosen a different hospital. The pratice was only interested if their portion was covered. They will not however inform you if there are any other out of network costs. Be aware, ask questions, and do your own research with your health insurance carrier.
