Review content:
The Majestic Cafe is a dive, but a great dive. If you go expecting elegance or fine dining you will be disappointed. This is a diner with Greek overtones. The food is good, but you're better off sticking with the basics; pancakes and sausage, a burger, or a gyros. The lack of pretense is exactly the appeal of the Majestic. It's a real place in a land of ""pre-fab"" pretenders. It's inexpensive, the service prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is great.
As for ""not being romantic"", if your idea of romance is linen, candlelight and expensive wine, no the Majestic is not romantic. But if your idea of romance is a long lunch or breakfast in deep conversation with someone you respect, or simply sitting quietly and sharing the Sunday paper, the Majestic Cafe is the most romantic place in town.
Pros: Tasty, Inexpense, down-to-earth
Cons: closes too early
