Review content:
In terms of first impressions, the pub itself is really unassuming in appearance and even small. None of this matters. The beer selection is first rate and only the second place in the states I have found Fullers ESB on tap. If you are a true beer gourmand then Fullers ESB is it for you and if it doesn't become a staple for you, then you are still developing your palate for beer! There are a lot of regulars but you never feel like an outsider. All kinds of people show up at the pub from all walks of life so you always feel comfortable and not out of place. The regulars are a mixed amalgam of people, young and old, and there are now annoying drunks who haunt the place. The owner, Mick, is from the UK and many Scots and Brits frequent as well. All of whom have turned out to be very considerate, well adapted Texans. Mick is a very nice guy and his help are all friendly and service oriented. Outdoor seating extends along the entire front of the pub, and I usually choose to sit out front where there is always a nice breeze. Except for this pub, it is rare I can find my favorite good beers since coming home to TX. This is the place I go to get them and just hang out without the noise, flash and hubub. Other perks include lots of parking and just off the 30 exit at montgomery. I guess you can tell this has become my hometown pub.
