Review content:
I took a Toshiba laptop to Richard's back in 2005 and got great service for a good price. So, when my Dell got a nasty virus last month, I took it to them. They quoted me less than anyone else and with a 48 hour turn around, so I dropped it off to them. I wish I had read these reviews first. They never called us back when they said they would, and sounded really put out to talk to us. We got the computer back in only 3 days, but I'm convinced that's only because we kept calling them and calling them to make sure they were sticking to their quoted price & time.
Dell has an auto-reformat function that should have restored it to factory settings once they recovered our hard drive info. We got the computer back and they had installed 2 different Windows OS's, one of which was corrupt. Nothing was running right and it was all just jacked up. Yes, the computer was working, which was more than it was when we took it in, but this was NOT what you pay a professional company for. Your 13 year old neighbor probably could have done this and only asked for a coke in return.
Richard's computers is not professional in service and they don't make up for it by being really good at their jobs. I'd avoid them unless you really can't afford anyone else.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Don't know what they're doing, poor communication
