I took a small bag of old gold jewlery to Raleigh Fine Jewlery in Brier Creek today and left with a check for $450! The whole experience was awesome! The buyer was just wonderful to work with and was just a very pleasant person in general. He separated my gold into two piles--14K and 10K. I only had a few rings that were 10K and all of the rest was 14K. He told me the going rate was between $12 and $18 per gram for the 14K, but he paid me $20 per gram for it!!! I don't remember what the rate for the 10K was, but I am sure it was very fair as well. He cut me a check right on the spot and told me that as a new customer he would do a jewlery repair for free and clean any jewlery for me for free as well. You really can't go wrong there!
