Review content:
I took my knee-high leather boots to Northgate Cobblers to have the shafts enlarged to better fit my wide calves. They did an excellent job. Jim, the cobbler, did the measuring, then sent the boots to a specialist he uses. They look great and fit just right. The total was about $95. It was a lot, but the boots were worth a great deal more so it seemed fair. My daughter also had a good experience with Northgate Cobblers. In her case they expertly dyed the leather inset to match her tobacco-colored boots -- not an easy task. The work took about 3 weeks, so I took off one star for speed. Otherwise, I'm very pleased.
