My wife and I ended up needing a place for one night due to a special event at our regular place. We've stayed in a number of places over the years and in part based on the reviews here decided to give it a try. As other reviewers have noted, Paul is a big asset to this place. We walked in mid morning on a Friday with no reservation and he couldn't have been more helpful in showing us a room, working out a price, and getting us into the room right away. The room we had was fine -- very clean, good sized, all smoke free, etc. There is on site parking some in a garage. We were there in early October, and there was no problem with noise or other potential issues that could be a factor at this location (especially in high season) near the wharf and boardwalk. We would not hesitate to go back again.
