Businiess name:  The Veranda

Review content:
My husband and I are not originally from Texas, so our number one activity is to explore the town we live in. While we are currently residing in Houston, the outskirts of the city include a peaceful and serence location called Kingwood. Inside this community lies the most fantastic restaurant! The Veranda looks like an old Victorian house - complete with a rocking chair and a porch swing. Once inside, however, the quaintness boiled down to reveal candlelit tables, gold plates, and a baby grand piano. Music is there nightly, and it was a pleasant surprise to find it was more background melodies than deafening tones. The musicians are also the owners, and apparently one is a photographer - the portrait by our table was a gorgeous bride - undoubtedly a native Texan (she wore a cowboy hat). The food was exquisite - and not at all what we had expected! Normally when we go out, we pay 30 dollars for a steak - and thats what we get - a steak. However at the Veranda, not only did we pay less than $30 for the Filet Mignon, it came with asparagus AND potatoes! Needless to say, we gorged, and have yet to feel any guilt. It was absolutely the most romantic restaurant in Houston and I can't wait to go back!!! Pros: romantic atmosphere
