Review content:
I took my son to see Dr. Catherine Bowden when he was three years old. She assured me he could see fine. I then took him back when he was five in September of 2009. She gave me his percription of -6.-- in one eye and -7.-- in the other eye. Even she was shocked by how bad it was considering according to her he could see fine when he was three. I took him to Southeren eye Associates in Greenville 1/2010, three months later, and his precription is now -10 in one eye and -11 in the other eye. They made sure his eyes were dialated, something Jervey never made sure of, and they had him wait 30 minutes instead of 10 - 15 for his eyes to dialate. They told us in children you have to put more drops in their eyes and wait longer bc their eyes are more resiliant. He has to now see a specialist bc he may also have a lazy eye that he crosses a lot, something I went over several times with Jervey and they said it was just some muscles that would clear up as he got older. I will not go back to Jervey. The other doctors there may be good, but I think the doctors at Southern Eye Associates in Greenville are a lot better at doing their jobs.
Pros: close to home
Cons: didn't do there job well
