Review content:
I have patronized Ichiban restaurants all over Los Angeles for years. I have been a resident of Glendale for 14 years. I enjoy Friday night dinner with my daughter and my grandchildren ages 5 and 3. They have frequented Ichiban's with us on numerous occasions. They knew we were going there, but didn't want that food. We decided to purchase outside food for them. While I went to the ATM, my daughter went in with kids to secure a table. They were still awaiting a table when I arrived. Shortly after my arrival, the host was about to seat us when he noticed the kids had outside food. He stated that was not allowed. I told him these are kids and they didn't want Ichiban. It would be a waste of our money. He wouldn't relent. Does this rule apply to a mother who is feeding her infant baby food and a bottle of milk? Does this apply to a child with food allergies and brings his food so that he can participate in the restaurant social environment, while his parents enjoy their meal? We left. We went to BOKU Restaurant on Verdugo. They were receptive to the kids and their outside food. They have excellent food and great service. And last but not least, they are Family Oriented. Pros: Not family oriented. Cons: Good food.
