Businiess name:  Paulo's Barbeque

Review content:
If I could give this place a negative star rating, I would. Paulo's had advertised a $9 Rodizio weekday lunch special, I even called to confirm the price, date and time before coming. My friends and I LOVE rodizio, we normally go to Iberia's in Newark (Highly Recommended), but decided to try Paulo's due to this advertised special. My friends and I are in graduate school and normally do not go out to eat that often for no occasion, but made this an exception. Let me first say that the food here could not hold a candle to Iberias. The stale garlic bread, taken out of a black garbage bag, seemed to be what was left over from prior customers. The meat either tasted bland or overly salted and was often times dangerously undercooked. The chocolate cake for dessert was advertised to be homemade, but tasted very much as if it were store bought. You could imagine my shock and embarrassment when we got the check and the $9 lunch special had some how turned itself into $87 (for 3 people) affair. When we asked about the bill the waiter told me we had eaten the regular price rodizio, not the lunch special portion. Not anywhere or at anytime was it said or written that portions were different for lunch and dinner pricing. When we then asked to speak to the owner (Paulo himself) he quickly escalated the confusion into a screaming match. A fellow business owner myself (my family owns a local business) I understand that he wants to make money, and told him such, but services can and should not be misrepresented. After a 10 minute argument, the owner finally agreed to knock off one of our $23 rodizios. That extra $20 that Paulo scammed out of me and my friends has just caused me to want to tell the world how terrible this place really is. Even if our bill was priced as advertised I still would not want to go back due to the poor food quality. The scam that Paulo's played on my friends and me, however, has caused me to write my first ever, positive or negative, restaurant review. Please, for your stomach and wallet's sake, do not go here. Pros: Absolutely Nothing. Cons: Price-misrepresented, food quality , service, and managment
