Well.....ummm where do I start? My daughter cleans homes for A LIVING and her ONLY wish for Christmas was a '' HOOVER Porta vac....so NOT KNOWING what I was getting into to....the sales lady was REALLY GOOD.....as a matter of fact when i told her what I was looking for...she told me Hoover was not as good as the one they carry as far as warranty and the overall performance of the vacuum....theirs was much better, long story short....she was so good at her job that.....she talked convinced me for a better word to go ahead with the purchase. so $ 190.00 LATER as in not even three weeks...my daughter opened the gift.....and geeeeeeeeeee the look on her face was so disappointing....just like a kid that did NOT get what they had asked for for Christmas :( :( :(:( and she is in her 30's but my point here is....the vacuum was NOT ever PLUGGED in....it was put back in the box immediately....NO USE what so ever so my husband took it back to the store where I purchased it....at 966 J.Clyde Morris Blvd. Newport News Va.23602....I myself had NEVER bought a vacuum cleaner and she told him at the store with receipt in hand....THEY GIVE NO REFUNDS!!!!! REALLY? WHAT THE .......? Seeing how I was shopping for a Christmas gift.....expensive one I might add....I had NO CLUE that any store or retailer carried a policy of NO REFUNDS....oh yeah....of course we can get a store credit....but NO REFUNDS!!!!!!! To myself and my very disappointed family....that store credit IS CRAP and NOT worth the paper it is written on!!! I have NEVER bought ANYTHING from ANY other retailer in my entire 54 years that if not used or the customer was not happy that .....THEIR POLICY WAS NO REFUNDS!!!! NOW WE ARE SCREWED OUT OF $178.00!!!!!!!!!!! WITH A STORE CREDIT WE HAVE NO USE FOR...now that I'm almost finished here the TIDEWATER SEW&VAC really got me and got me GOOD this time but...NEVER again...had I paid more attention that dreadful day....I MOST CERTAINLEY WOULD NOT HAVE EVER EVEN ENTERED THAT SO CALLED BUSSINESS....WHAT A TRUE JOKE...not downing the sales lady but she should be given a raise because....she was extremely convincing!!!! I TOOK THE BAIT...HOOK LINE AND SINKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD NOT HAVE EVEN RATED THE COMPANY 1 STAR BUT HAD NO OTHER OPTION!
