When I grew up in Virginia Beach, there was no better treat than heading to the outskirts for dinner at Blue Petes. By far the best local spot, Blue Petes was incredible with the best and freshest seafood with a festive, friendly, environment that made the restaurant the classic Beach hangout.
Pros: indepently owned, off the beaten path location
Cons: dirty, poor food, creepy environs
