I saw Dr.. Rogge for 2 years. During that time, he got me physically hooked on one medication without explaining why he prescribed it, what it does, and the dangers of getting physically hooked on it. With regard to prescriptions, there is no rhyme or reason to the amounts re-filled. It seems like he just wants to maintain his business and give you whatever you want without any guidance. He is apathetic, except when it comes to controlled substances. If you take too much, he will force you to reduce for the sole reason of protecting his license. Once you get to a lower level, he will prescribe it forever. If you run out prematurely, even if its valid reason, he will not re-fill it, nor be willing to meet with you. On the occasion I ran out early, he simply refused to re-fill five pills early, without explanation. Even the pharmacist was surprised by his incredible insensitivity. I had horrible with withdrawal symptoms for days. The most dangerous aspect is that he allowed me to continue on benzodiazepines despite my directly asking him if he knew why my memory was getting real bad. In fact, he never explained that the loss of memory was due to ongoing use. He never explained that the damage due to ongoing long-term use may be permanent. I had to find it out for myself. Either he was not current on the latest findings (by latest I mean 2005!!), or he just didn't care. I suspect it was the later. He outward persona of professionalism masks his desire to simply make money. He's ultimately a dangerous person to go to.
