I have never been so disappointed with a service that I have been compelled to write a public review (and I wasn't even the bride!!) Do yourself a favor and avoid this shop. If you absolutely MUST purchase a gown here, bring it to a trusted tailor for alterations. After investing a significant amount in a designer gown at Allure, I was met with nothing but horrific customer service (which the bride eventually confronted the owner about), shoddy alterations, and one frustration after another. We gave the owner several chances to redeem herself and her store, and were let down over and over again. When my bridesmaid dress fell apart at the wedding due to the alterations, I politely informed the owner, who insisted on blaming ME for choosing the wrong size! Hello??!! I just let your people take my measurements and gave you my credit card!!! How is this my fault?!!
Obviously still frustrated over a year later... wish I had put a stop payment on my credit cards and reported the business to the BBB. Hope this helps someone from experiencing the same awfulness! I feel so completely ripped off. If this place wants to offer luxury brands, they should offer the same in service.
