Review content:
It was fortunate that Zankou Chicken was literally steps away from my school. It saved me many a times from the mystery meat the school cafeteria called ""chicken nuggets"". For less than $7, I was able to feast on a healthy delicious meal. It's been more than a decade since I graduated, but Zankou in Glendale (and now in Burbank!) is still my go-to place for the best rotisserie chicken in the world. The best thing on the menu is their 1/4 white meat chicken meal which comes with 2 pcs. of pita bread, garlic sauce (the best darn sauce in the world), hummus, and some pickled veggies with tomatoes and chili peppers. Service, however, is wee-bit iffy... like the SoupNazi on Seinfeld. But then again, I don't really care. I can handle a small amount of attitude in exchange for some o' that garlic sauce and chicken. If you want better service and ambience, go to the Burbank branch. They're friendlier and the restaurant itself is far, far away from the strip-mall decor the Glendale and Sunset restaurants have.
