Captains Pizza has been a pillar our family's eating plan for over 20+ years. This branch in Shelton is by far the best, with excellent ambiance, great food, and an excellent staff. For those unfamiliar with Captains Pizza, it is a chain of about 10 restaurants in Fairfield County, CT run by one family. The pizza is of a greek style and is unique in CT as far as I have been able to see. The staff here is always friendly and happy, and get to know their regulars very quickly. All of the food is also of excellent quality and whether you go Italian or basic American everything is excellent.
Only downside is that the bathrooms tend to be about 10 degrees hotter than an already-warm restaurant, uncomfortable though clean.
Pros: Excellent pizza, Superior Value, Excellent Staff
Cons: Bathrooms overly warm
