Review content:
I was EXTREMELY disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. Everyone had talked it up, claiming it to be the best steakhouse in the 'Burgh. I disagree completely. I made our reservation online. They ask on there if it's for a special occasion. It was our anniversary dinner. We were greeted and they did say happy anniversary to us, which was nice. But then they seated us in the middle of a bench seat. There was no ambience or privacy. It was our anniversary, so my husband had gotten me a gift. It was really awkward opening it with strangers sitting right next to me. The food was just ok. I expected a lot better for what we paid. I got the NY strip, which is my favorite cut. It didn't have the famous butter on it, I don't know if they just forgot. Then there's the well-advertised hot plate that the steak comes out on. I ordered my steak medium, so I expected some juices to run. But, with the plate being so hot, it kind of cooked the juices to a disgusting gray color. It wasn't very appetizing to see my steak floating in a gray puddle of meat juices. I would much rather go to Mantini's in the South Side for an awesome steak (and for almost half the price). Cons: Ambience, value
