Review content:
I am pretty sure that this restaurant is only open because of the location (prime spot in Dundee). The wait staff seems fairly inexperienced, but is routninely rude. I have been here several times (again, because of the location, during a day of wine tasting), and I have never had a great meal. The service is slow, and it takes forever to get refills of water, or to find a server to bring you something you might need. The only reason we usually go here is because if you are wine tasting on the weekends with friends, there are not many options for having lunch with a nice bottle of wine in Dundee. (If only Tina's, next door to the bistro, were open for lunch on weekends - they have fabulous food and service!). No matter how empty the restaurant is when we arrive, we have always had to wait, and are treated like it is a problem to seat us if we do not have reservations. The menu is not that exciting, and much of what I have eaten here has been greasy (fish and chips) or poorly seasoned. I can hardly wait until (1) Tina's opens for lunch on weekends, or (2) a new restaurant opens in Dundee with good atmosphere, friendly service, and a decent wine list.
Pros: Location - Near Wine Tasting, Good Wine List
Cons: Service, Food
