Review content:
The only positive side to this business is they know and care about their birds. But as everyone knows, when you decide to open a business, you need at least some people skills. The owner has NONE. Extremely rude and mean. She treats people like idiots and ignorants. There was even a sign in her store saying that pets were free to roam but to keep children ""on a leash"". Now I understand that some parents don't keep an eye on their kids and let them run havoc, this is not the place for it....but still, I don't believe putting up a sign such as this one is a nice, welcoming gesture to people in general. They try to force you to buy only their products and veggie mix. Veggie mix are quite simple to make and more affordable if you do your own, the same way she does. You just save on paying her to do it for you. We always give one more try, even after a first negative experience. We gave this place 3 tries...those were all too many. Each and every time, same rudeness, same treatment. NEVER AGAIN. Thankfully, a new parrot/bird store opened in Southwick MA, we already went in there a few times to purchase supplies, worth every mile we drove. Very friendly people, with patience of angels...they answer all your questions. There is always many customers at once, they are doing extraordinary since they opened. We have never seen more than a customer or two all at once at the Crystal Parrot. I think it speaks volumes.
