***BEWARE***DANGER***DON'T TRUST***
We used Chicago Appliance Repair in Chicago, 866-625-9239, and think they are a rip off.
Chicago Appliance sent, Alan, an independent contractor from Cold Wave Refrigeration in Hoffman Estates, who said we needed a new fan motor. Our tenant was there and we had no choice but to pay the incredible amount of $400 for a new motor which retails for less than $100 online. The worst part is, the fridge broke down again 6 months (still under warranty) later and the company will not return our numerous phone calls. We had to get a GE repairman out and spent even more money. Turns out, it just needs to thaw so ice doesn't form and block the fan motor. We were charged $400 just to thaw some ice around the fan! And, have no way of knowing if we received or even needed a new motor.
The company's web site states, ""Our mission is to provide Honest, Reliable Service, while building Trust and 100% Satisfaction for our CUSTOMERS."". Both of these companies are useless, I recommend avoiding them at all cost.
Pros: Rip Off
Cons: Rip Off
