I've been a loan customer for seven years. Several months ago I noticed that I'm now being charged a ""mailed statement fee."" When I complained, I was told that it was ""to save me money."" Basically, if I don't like it, it's just too bad. An emailed statement is not an option for me, as it would be if I had deposit accounts and not just loan accounts. This is from a company that has a problem even delivering a correct mailed statement. Apparently the money that they make from my loans just isn't enough any more and they're trying to catch up with the big bank, big fee game. My advice, just go to the giant mega bank, at least you will get correct statements delivered in a timely manner for the fees they charge.
