Businiess name:  Ruby's Alterations & Sewing

Review content:
Regarding a pair of slacks taken to Ruby's alterations to get hemmed and taken in at the waist. The order was specifically placed with the instruction that the fabric for the cuff/hem not get cut. Simple enough and was told to expect pickup in 5 days. Surprisingly, a message was left that SAME afternoon saying the slacks were ready for pickup. Arrived for pickup the next day and saw that a triangle of fabric was cut out of the hem/cuff on each leg for no reason except to prevent letting out the hem as the boy gets taller I guess. Also, the waistline was completely mismatched with the belt loop where taken in misplaced. Thread was loose everywhere and it was painfully obvious that someone just didn't care and intentionally did the exact opposite of what even a high school home economics student would present. Of course the cost was highway robbery for destruction of the new pants that were trusted to Ruby's. When I questioned them about the crappy work and asked how could anyone miss these obvious errors I was told ""I am not going to mess up the timing on my machine to get the waistline and belt loop right and stuff will never come back like they came from the manufacturer"". Huh? I have never had any alteration order come back looking like a person with an IQ of 80 did the ""alterations"" but obviously some idiot at Ruby's alterations decided to destroy these pants intentionally. This would explain the wardrobe of clothes by the door that get left there because people don't want to pay ungodly sums for crappy work, so they want to try to pawn it off on consumers when they are dropping off items because once they see their returned product it isn't likely you would want anything else to do with this dive. If you prefer not to go around looking like Forest Gump is your tailor, you should find another business to patronize because this one doesn't care one wit about quality, service, or integrity. Cons: Intentionally shoddy work, overcharging, unprofessional
