Just had Daffy Ducts service this afternoon & I had to write a review and hope to let consumer who are looking for duct cleaning service to know about my experience with Daffy Ducts today - horrified by the unprofessional staff.
2 staffs got here on time and they started immediately. Noted that I have 2 separate units one for upstairs and one downstairs. They start by opening all the vent - supply ducts/return ducts from each room and show me what one of the vent looks like inside before it is cleaned. The upstairs was done very quickly. Then a staff asked where my downstairs furnace is located and I lead him to the crawl-space where the unit is. It was obvious to me at the point that he didn't want to get in. So we came right back in to the house and he continue cleaning the downstairs. About 10-15mins later, he said that he is wrapping up (my house is a 3000sq. 2floors/4.5bedrooms, 2.5 bath) At that point, something just told me it doesn't feel right and I was in the house the whole time so I knew what is going on with everything. He was checking the list off and I asked him if I can look at the list he said yes. I went thru the list that he checked off and asked what each one of them is and he explained it. I stopped and question about the furnace line where he checked off if it was done. He said yes and that he forgot to tell me the furnace needs a new filter. I at that time knew what he said was not true. And he quickly changed subject and told me something else. I waited until he finished what he needed to say then told him I was not aware that he went to the outside crawl-space & that he was inside the house the whole time. And boy, you can really tell from that face when someone is not telling the truth. He said: "Well, if you like, I can re-do the furnace for you, I am sure that's what my boss would like me to do" and he went to his vent and grab the machine out, the extension cord and starts to clean the crawl-space furnace. I was furious, angry and I want them out of the house at that point. He also came inside the hosue with an attitude when he was done with the crawl-space. I signed a check for $340 immediately because I want them out asap. That's right, it costs $340 and wait till you hear what else they have left behind for me to do afterward.
After I paid, I have to tell you at that point, I felt stupid & I am not even sure if my upstairs furnace was cleaned. Not to mentioned other service that was included such as Anti-microbial application. They also didn't show me what afterward looks like (paper work said before & after video). Tonight, I had to clean up their mess where they open/put back all the vent where dry-wall debris were under the vent on the floor, on beds, on carpet. Yes, they didn't vacuumed/clean-up afterward. And when I went to my make-up table tonight, it was covered in dust. These experience drove me to write a review immediately. I am extremely angry not only it ruined my day, it also violated my trust in home servicing company. Just to be fair, I had to say that the company Daffy Ducts is fully responsible for this horrific experience because they hired such unprofessional person (it was 2 staffs that came over but one of them being unprofessional & took advantage of the consumer if he was not caught lying). 1 star is actually overrated.
