If you are looking for a knowledgeable and helpful staff, this is NOT the place to go. I was very disappointed in the service I received at The Cook Shop when shopping for kitchen knives. I had been directed to this store because of the quality of the products and was quite excited to see a large selection of quality knives. However, a bad taste was left in my mouth almost immediately when I had to wait for acknowledgment from the two women behind the counter who were more interested in eating their sandwiches and chatting with someone who clearly was not in the store to shop. When my presence was finally acknowledged, I asked for information on the knives and was welcomed behind the counter to look for myself. Things took a turn for the worse when I had the audacity to ask for information on the 6 or 7 different sets of knives that were on display and the pricing of these knives. It was clear that the women either a) didn't know anything about the knives, or b) didn't want to take the time to discuss the knives with me. I tried to pry information from them, which was only mildly successful in getting them to shuffle around a couple piles of things in a feeble search for information booklets and for them to inform me they do not put pricing on the products. It quickly became apparent this was a waste of my time. As one quality knife can be upwards of $100, I do not think it was an unreasonable request for some assistance. I will definitely never go back to this store. Lastly, when I tried to contact someone via their ""contact us"" email, they blocked my email address. The above review is my initial email almost verbatim.
