Review content:
I moved here from another state. I was told Cody Ward Construction was one of the best in the area. All I have to say is if this is the best, I feel REALLY sorry for customers of the worst. The trim work in the house looks like it was done by amateurs. There were bricks loose/missing around the foundation (this is a BRAND NEW HOUSE). Whoever installed the AC system had all of the ducts to the front bedrooms closed off in the attic. It took multiple calls to get Cody Ward to send someone out to fix it. Bathroom fixtures were loose, just all around no quality control. To top it all off, the carpet was incorrectly installed. The seams all came apart within 9 months. When reported to Cody Ward, he said it was my fault because I had shampooed the carpets. So a warning, if you buy a Cody Ward house, you're gonna have to live with dirty carpet because he uses such cheap carpet that it supposedly falls apart if shampooed. Of course, the guy who just installed my hardwood floor very bluntly stated that whoever installed the carpet didn't have clue #1 what they were doing. Of course, Cody Ward never owned up to the shoddy workmanship, so a law suit is in the works. Upon move-in, we did a thorough inspection and discovered a chipped tile in the kitchen. We reported it within the first couple weeks of living here. Guess what folks...Cody Ward says that is our fault too, we magically chipped the tile before we even moved in. In all, Cody Ward does not back up his product. He hires day laborers to build a house as fast as they can, and it shows. Be warned, if you buy a house built by Cody Ward you are going to have to do some upgrade work on your own to bring it up to the standards of other builders. The house will look good at first glance, but upon further inspection you will find the details that were missed which separates Cody Ward from the good builders who take pride in their work. Furthermore his written warranty is a joke, and actually violates the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act, a federal law. He has a sheisty attorney on retainer who also doesn't even know about federal laws and will tell you nothing applies to his client. Small claims court, here I come. You can't hide behind your sheisty lawyer there, they're not allowed. Pros: House is still standing Cons: Where should I begin??
