Review content:
I made an appointment with Mr Simpson to view an apartment he had for rent. He offered to meet me at 1:00 PM on a Sunday, which I thought then was very nice. I had given him my schedule and it was his choice for the Sunday afternoon date. I showed up before 1:00 and waited until 1:30. I finally reached him at 1:30, after 3 calls. He claimed he had no cell coverage. He also then said ""Oh, yeah you're that little girl that wanted to see the apartment."" (Little girl?? I am 38. I used to work for a cell phone company and knew he was lying. A cell phone that has no coverage goes right to voice mail, his rang 6 times before going to voice mail). I would have prefered an "" I am sorry, I got hung up...."" to a lie. I viewed the apartment as he showed his annoyance at having this dreadful interuption to his day. The apartment was exactly what I was looking for and told him I would like it. He had me fill out an application (and write a check for the fee). I called him Tuesday and asked if he had viewed my application. He told me the apartment was already rented, as he had multiple applications. I drive by the apartment every day on my way to work and my friend lives nearby so I know I was one of the first to view it. On my way home I saw the FOR RENT sign was still up. I had my male co worker call and ask to view the apartment on Wednesday. He was given an appointment. My co worker did not bother to show up, as he was only interested in finding out if it was really rented or if they forgot to take the sign down (hard to forget since his business is beneath the apartment). I am not sure if Mr Simpson is interested in collecting dozens of application fees to pad his pockets or if he just has a distaste for ""little girls"". I would imagine that when he met me he would have noticed that I was over 30, and if he read my application that I was 38. I have an excellent rental history and a good job. I would not recommend Mr Simpson or his company. Pros: I loved the apartment Cons: The company either discriminates or pads their pockets by collecting dozens of fees
