This dog kennel claims to be the ""best in town"", no need for a website nor advertisment, every vet in town recommends their services...... This kennel is the worst I have seen. Its more described as a dog mill. I boarded my 3 dogs for 3days due to moving. I picked them up, they hadn't been out the cage/run the whole time. Feces and urine coved the asphault(they say they clean once a day??) On the way home I noticed a tick on my dog that was in the front seat. I pulled over and discovered 5 more!! I immediately went back to Tolkien's. To my astonishment they blamed me for the ticks. Anything to I must live in a nasty place to since I moved from out of state, walking at rest stops, to ticks must be in my vehicle! Keep in mind, these dogs wont even go outside if its raining!! They are spoiled rotten inside dogs, who don't like outside!! The ticks had barely latched on and were flat(meaning they were not there for 3 days!!) After debating withLarry and whatever the woman's name was.. They said they have no way to correct the issue, they gave me back my money and told me to never be bothered with them again?? I had to go to walmart that night get tick shampoo and clean my babies. It was the worst expierience ever!! This kennel runs out of a personal home, by an old married couple. I felt like such a bad dog mom, I had researched far and wide before my move to find a boarding kennel. I have heard horor stories before, but this was truely unimaginable! If you care anything for your pet, go somewhere else.
