Michel was very helpful and suggested using a vapor barrier to prevent the cupping problems we had with the first 2 levels in the house when maple floors were installed. No other vendor has even mentioned such a product, and we are hoping it will resolve the issues. Even with the additional material, the bid came in very competitive. Scheduling became something of an issue, but once the wood was in the house, the installation went quickly. After they finished we noticed a dent in one area and were not happy with the patch. We called and within an hour, the installer was back and completely replaced the dented section. We would use them again when we do the last section of the house to convert to maple.
