Review content:
Growing up in the Silicon Valley also means you grew up on Vietnamese food. I can remember the many nights and mornings I would slurp down pho ga and munch on goi cuon with contentment. So when I went to Los Angeles for three years, I struggled to find the pho joints and the Vietnamese cafes I'm used to back home.
When my friend referred me to Long Hai, I was skeptical, and also a little unwilling to drive all the way to Tustin just for a taste of home. But when I finally came around to it, I could just taste the quality and the nostalgia of their food. The pho is excellent, but it's really the vermicelli that will get you rollin'. This is authentic Vietnamese comfort, with great service and a relaxing atmosphere.
I'm fickle with my Vietnamese food, especially since I believe I grew up with the best Vietnamese food back home. But Long Hai is definitely one of my favorites, and it is my home away from home. Eat here.
