Businiess name:  Bergstrom Vineyard & Winery

Review content:
I visited Bergstrom for the first time a few weeks ago with several friends. We scheduled a tasting appointment and were greeted by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The wines offered for tasting were an incredible representation of Oregon Pinots; smooth, innovative and a pedigree above 75% of the other Oregon pinots we've tasted. However, this comes with a price! The twenty-five (25) dollar tasting fee includes 5 small samples and a tour. Our group purchased at least 4 cases combined and not one of their tasting fee(s) were refunded. I find this odd and disappointing. Most of the Oregon Wineries will refund tasting fees with purchase or at least a portion of their fees are waived toward purchase. Or at least offer a glass to walk away with. I would rate this as highly recommended if something in lieu of a few splashes of great wine were offered for their very steep tasting fee, but that is not the way the do it. Unfortunately, the economy across this nation does not support this kind of conduct and many people would never be able to afford to buy nor taste the wonderful wines Bergstrom offers. Another story where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.... Pros: World class pinot noir. Cons: Tasting fee not waived for purchase, over priced
