Review content:
I was so pleased to find a place with good cakes as I have family I need to ship to. However, after placing my order yesterday, I received a call from Janie's Cakes this morning informing me the website ""glitches"" and they would need to charge me an additional $19.00 for shipping.
First of all, maybe it is just me, but I expect to be fully informed of the shipping charges before purchase so that I can make an informed decision. I think 19.00 is expensive but would have ,add that decision at the time.
If a busines has a problem, why would I, as the consumer have to pay for their error? As a former business owner if I made a mistake or my website glitches I never once tried to pass it on to the customer. I recouped after the problem was fixed and was apologetic for the hassle I caused my customer. Businesses must realize there is a cost to doing business and having problems.
Whether you agree or not,and I sure some of their family and friends will come on here to defend them, which is why review sites are worthless, but that's business, and I'm old school I that you do t make customers pay for your problems.
A contract is a contract, stick with it and people will come back. Fix your problem you will recoup the cost and then some I TRUST and GOOD WILL.
