My Wife, 2 kids and I spend a couple of nights a week lounging in the booths of the hot tamale cafe. When you first sit down you are bombarded with a mountain of fresh fried chips and some Delicious homemade salsa. Typically we get a cheese dip, but it is always a large because that stuff goes quick (i have never had a better cheese sauce!!!) There are plenty of meals to brag about, but our family typically orders the regular. Some of the waitstaff can even predict what we want. My wife always chooses the Southwest Chicken CHimichanga, which tastes like heaven (large fried tortilla with chix and cheese dip). My favorite is the Tacos De Azada, with the chipotle tomatilla salsa. That is hands down the tasties salsa i have ever eaten, and i love dipping my tacos in it. As for the kids, the kids menu is full of very large portioned meals. Nothing, to unhealthy as well. All in all this is one of the best neighborhood resteraunts, and My family and I really enjoy spending our time and money here. I sinserly recommend that if you have not tried this resteraunt you give it a chance.
