My eleven year old car needed an ignition switch. Knowing the car repair business, I crossed my fingers hoping I would be able to ""get"" the part (since you never know with an older car - especially one they no longer manufacture). Yes, they did charge a hefty markup on the part. However, the repair came in UNDER the Flat Rate Book time allowed - they were very pleasant - and worked with my schedule. Then the switch had a problem - they took me right in - fixed it while I waited, politely - and no additional charges. Running a large shop is difficult - lots of overhead. I feel they did a fine job and as a woman on her own - I appreciated the way I was treated.
Pros: Under estimate - on time - backed up warranty on part
