Why have I been a customer at Betty's for 30+ years? Do you remember when customer service was the most important commodity a shopper could rely on from a privately owned and operated shop? Even when the big department stores didn't offer service with a smile these stores continued to do so. There are many reasons for my loyalty to Schwartz's including the wide selection of foundation merchandise and the great customer service. Let's face it , in the last 30+ years my figure has changed at least 3 times, but the excellent tell-it-like-it-is sales ladies have helped me through it all. What's more the variety of intimate apparel featured here covers a multitude of wants and needs.
Located on Second Street in the heart of downtown Highland Park Central Avenue shopping area, the shopper can make use of street parking in front of the store or city parking lots north of Schwartz' on both sides of the street.
The layout of the store gives the casual shopper the opportunity to browse; however, if you are looking for something more specific the sales staff will give you as much hands-on help or privacy as the customer prefers in the comfortable dressing rooms located in the back of the store.
The merchandise is well organized into gowns and pajamas , robes and negligees, casual cotton clothing, swim wear and cover-ups, slips, lace undies, sexier sets and hosiery. The foundations department lines the left wall of the store while the robes, negligees, and gowns are located on the right side. The hosiery is located in the front of the store and the other merchandise can be found on circular and rod free-standing displays throughout the premises.
Whether you are a petite, regular or 3X Schwartz's can fit you in swim wear and most other items. Also available are the latest trends in exercise apparel and some street wear.
Perhaps now you can understand why I have been a loyal long time customer of Schwartz's. Most of my friends echo my loyalty to Betty Schwartz's along with many other satisfied women.
