While I am not criticizing the actual care I received; I will warn all patients to ask how much they will be charged for All Star Orthopaedics procedures or products. I was charged $695.00 for a knee brace when I could have purchased a nearly identical one at CVS for $37.98.
My fault for not asking at the time they were strapping it on however I find it disingenuous that I was not informed on the cost. When I checked out my charge was $100.00 (that I can understand).
Even though insurance covered it it still took money away from my HRA that could have been used for something that I actually needed. We are all paying for it one way or another!
