Review content:
My daughter was referred to a specialist by her pcp at William Penn Family Practice. As soon as I made the appointment I called WPFP for a referral to be faxed over, and I was assured that it would be done. A month went by, and three days prior to the specialist appt, I got a call from the specialist's office that they never received a referral. I called WPFP and requested the referral again. Three days later, I took my daughter to her spec. appointment and when we arrived there we were told that they still never received the referral and they would not see my daughter without it! I called WPFP right away and told the receptionist to fax over the referral IMMEDIATELY and the response I got was ""I'll fax it over when I get around to it. All of the other office workers called in sick today and I'm the only one here."" We waited and waited and no fax. Finally I was told that the only way they would see my daughter was if I signed a waiver form stating that I would pay for the appointment out of pocket because they never sent the referral! We already waited a month for that appointment and I wasn't about to reschedule it, so I had no choice but to sign the form and pay. Pros: great doctors Cons: horrible office staff
