Review content:
while victorio's has good pizza (delivered pasta is not great), there's something to be said for MANNERS from thier delivery staff. as i write this, that something is not very good.
we became regular customers of victorio's earlier this year, having been pleased to find a local business with good pizza. out of ten orders, two of them were messed up. one of them, the pasta that came was cold and overdone. the second one, part of the order was left behind. in neither instance did we make a big deal out of it or demand our money back for the cold and inedible pasta. in an effort to be accommodating with the omitted item, we simply told them to bring the paid for but not delivered part of the order the next time we ordered from them. we did NOT chew them out or tell them that they needed to be sure not to ever do it again.
in return for trying to be decent human beings about the whole thing, tonight, when i tried to order a pizza, i got a ROYAL chewing out by the person taking delivery orders because the last delivery person screwed up punching in the gate code (NO other delivery we received in the same time period had any problems with the gate) and we didn't hear the phone ring from the call they claimed they made trying to get us to let them in. so tonight, i was told in no uncertain terms that they just couldn't be wasting time like that, and they had other deliveries to make, so WE needed to make sure the gate was working. this was AFTER being put on hold TWICE before my order was even taken.
after being chewed out like this, i told the person who answered the phone that i had changed my mind and not to bother.
trade needs to be earned. we are NOT responsible for building maintenance, nor are we responsible for the fact that a delivery person could not figure out how to make a simple gate code work that every other delivery person has had no trouble with.
apparently victorio's has enough customers that they don't care when they lose one. money is too hard to come by, especially these days, and i am certainly not going to continue to patronize a business who expects me to beg them to let me spend my money there. when i told the person on the phone i had changed my mind, he could not hang up on me fast enough.
there's no pizza on the planet that is good enough to put up with that kind of abuse. the only reason they have even gotten one star is because this website requires it.
