I am an even keel person and can deal with a lot of different things life puts in my path, but with Farnsworth Realty & Management I lost my cool. As a Joke the one thing the redneck comedy tour learned me is you can't fix stupid!! To explain my experience this might take a while but it's worth it if no one rents from them ever again! ""DON'T DO IT!! I was looking at renting a property with two friend's and they are the property managers of, in the Gilbert area. Looking back at everything now there is no way I would/will ever do business with them again and told my friends this might be the best $40 application fee I have ever spent ($40 I will never see again) I was viewing the property across the street from Farnsworth's property and noticed their sign out front so I called to find out more about it and was told by a lady in the office all I need to do is email her a photo of my I.D. from my phone and she will give me the code to get access to the lock box with the key to the house inside. Thought it was a little weird but did it and was happy with the property except it need some new paint for the most part. My friends and I wanted to take the next step and fill out the application so we found out what we needed to do to apply. It started out like any other application first months rent and a deposit the same as first months rent no big deal then we find out there is a pet deposit for $310 per pet which we have two pets that is none refundable, then they wanted $500 because they said we don't have rental history (my friends owned their own homes for the past four to five years) Next we find out there is a $100 lease signing fee, and by the end of it we found out we would have to spend three times the rent just to move in. After all these added fees and everything else I had had it, and to top it off they will not change the locks unless we paid an added $200 to have a lock smith come out and do it and there was not promise they would have the dirty walls painted when we move in. I am not sure what world they live in but thieve's are everywhere and they could easily copy the key with a fake I.D. and just wait for you to move in to take everything you have worked so hard to get. Now this is my personal experience with them but from what I read from others they will nickel and dime you every chance they get so buyer/renter/owner beware!! Me I will never do business with them ever again!!!! The sad thing is it took me getting upset with them form them to remember who I even was and why I was doing there. Thank the lord it was only a $40 application fee and not a whole year with them.
