Review content:
I lived in California for 7 yrs & lived with a Mexican American woman in a Chicano section of Sacramento. The best meals I had ( outside of eating in a household where the primary spoken lanquage was Spanish ) were in tiny family run restaurants. I have yet to see this East of the Mississippi. I meet a friend of 30+ yrs maybe once a year for lunch at Tito's because he lived in California also in Alameda & misses the Mexican food. I have had some good food here but it is not consistant. I've also had some food here that was so bad it was pathetic. I believe the owner is Portaguese so that doesn't help unless your Emeril Lagasse. Even then, I'd prefer someone cooking that grew up ""South of the Border"". Bottom line - This place is a Crapshoot & the odds are always against the Gambler. Ciao, B.
Pros: Bartenders are awesome. Great Margarita's!
Cons: Chef's (scratch that) Cook's, are not.
