Review content:
Maybe I'm biased, but this is the best Japanese food in the area. I've been coming here about once a week for six years and the food has never swayed (okay once). Portions are reasonable and so are the prices. There is something for everyone, from the adventurous sushi/sashimi lovers to the conservative cooked meat eaters. The katsu-don which is pork cutlet mixed in with egg and veggies over rice is to die for and reminds me of my childhood. The place is quaint on the outside and bustling on the inside. You'll find tons of downtown office workers cramming into this place at lunchtime and usually busy in the evening. Service is always great, maybe because they know us, but the owners, who are usually there daily, oversee the kitchen and tables so you know everything will be done right. Music or sports on the TV keep people entertained but only after they've inhaled their meal. Of all the restaurants in the neighborhood, this place stands out and hopefully remains as a standard in Japantown.
Pros: Everything is great
Cons: Closed Sun and Mon, Small
