Review content:
Albert I. ""Sam"" Bennett and his wife Paula are fine people who run a fine business. It's a pleasure to work with them. We also recognize that they're a small?and thankfully, busy?family business, so we accommodate their schedule as much as possible. Our woodwork is so gorgeous, sometimes I just run my hands over it, enjoying the smooth feel and the beautiful grain of his alder, bamboo and teak pieces. When the sun hits the woodwork, it really glows! His built-ins look like they're original to the house: people can't believe that they're recent additions. The teak backpiece he built for our teak bed looks like it's meant to be a section of the bed itself, and our living-room bookcase goes perfectly with the built-in cabinet that was already there. In my Slovenian family, there's an old saying: Marry a good carpenter, you'll never be sorry. I think the next best thing is finding and working with a good carpenter, and I'm so glad we found Sam. We've had good luck and bad luck with contractors on this remodel, but Sam's a keeper! He helped us design many items in our home, and we rely on his experience and expertise to refine our ideas into workable final products.
