Please don't listen to these negative reviews. These people are clearly out to bash the Pet Shop and pet shops of the like because they think these puppies come from puppy mills. They don't! This shop and the 3 sister shops have hand selected breeders that they've been working with for over 20 years. My family has purchased a Beagle 14 years ago from the Pet Shop in Whitehall, and he's still a very active, and healthy dog. I've recently purchased my chocolate lab from here a few months ago, and she's been as healthy, loving, and well mannered as any dog you could get directly from a breeder yourself. An absolute joy and perfect companion. My family and I visit the store regularly and have never once seen any of the animals in a state of neglect as some reviews have said. It sickens me that these so called ""animal-lovers"" would say anything negative about such a great Pet Shop. The vet is routinely in the shop checking the animals, Donna and her staff are regularly caring, cleaning, and tending to all of the animal's needs. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for their next pet. Adopting is a wonderful thing. I travel often with the Army, and have volunteered in several shelters taking care of dogs. If you get the chance to adopt a dog, that is wonderful! But I can't begin to tell you how difficult of a journey it was for me to try and adopt. I was turned down because my yard wasn't fenced in, or because the foster home didn't feel I'd be a good fit because I could be deployed at any minute. They refused these animals the opportunity at a wonderful life. So now what? These poor dogs have to stay locked up in a caged area for a few more years until someone adopts them? If they ever are adopted. I understand where they were coming from, and why they have to be very strict with their adoption procedures, but to deny a homeless dog the opportunity to live in a loving home hurts me. But now that I have my chocolate lab from the Pet Shop, I am humbled to know that I'm able to give this puppy a long, healthy, happy life from day one! No my yard isn't fenced in, but I live a very actice lifestyle. I take my dog to the park to run daily, and we go hiking and swimming regularly. Yes I'm in the military and travel, but she goes everywhere I go. And if I have to leave for an extended period of time, she stays in my parent's loving home with their Beagle, and she couldn't be happier. All dogs need homes and the Pet Shop is the perfect place to find the next member to your family!! My business, as well as my family's, will be coming back here!
