One star is too high for Ricky Thomas and his wife, Natalie! Do NOT hire this company. I hired Rick Thomas to refinish my basement concrete floor. He destroyed my basement! I will now have to pay someone thousands of dollars to take out the ""work"" he did. There is dirt, gravel, pieces of concrete, LEAVES (yes, leaves) embedded in the ""finish."" My previously smooth concrete floors are no longer smooth. In addition to all the crap, ridges and hills were created. He told a contractor friend of mine that it was a defect in the product. He told him the epoxy was to be self-leveling and it didn't level. Ding dong, you're supposed to smooth it out! Nothing, but a bunch of garbage. This man has no clue what he is doing. The color looks like it was just slapped on, because it was! Save yourself the grief and thousands of dollars and stay away from Rick Thomas and Windy City Concrete Design!!! In front of witnesses, he promised to refund all of my money. He doesn't answer his phone nor return my calls. I am going to contact the attorney general's office, the consumer fraud hotline, and will file a lawsuit. Those who would like to join me, please do! If you would like to see pictures, I will be more than happy to provide them.
